didnt want to make it too easy. ive now got some more problems, was working fine then went out to it and now when i put in reverse, nothing happens i then disconnect the 12v feed to the selector and it works again :/ any ideas?

would anyone know, at the selector pin 2 C0675 should i be getting 12v into it(as well as pin8), if so when as this wire leads back to the fuse box.

So? are you up on it or not? this thing was expalined already...though after each well documented advise you was kind of smart a**s* ... keep up the good job cos it seems that you know better. Good luck

what?? at least im trying to work it out by myself, but no not working at the moment so what would you suggest

I'd suggest that if you can't understand well a diagram dont try to make ''experiments" cos if you watch the diagram the answer for your question about pin 2/C0765 is obvious as it's clear that it's coming directly from F25 so if no feed at pin 2 check that. if it's blown and will blow again there is a problem along the circuit you made... though i dont understand what you mean when you say that when you disconnect the feed to the selector it works cos that's illogical...or it works only for reverse?

also it seems that you neglected the information about VSS if you say that it was working well without VSS input cos that's impossible and if you have the diagnostic link wired i'm sure that scanning the ECU will reveal a "road speed missing" code logged which sends it to a default strategy so it's not working 100% as it should IMO .

Il check no.2 later. When the selector has 12v no errors on the engine or trans ecu but no reverse gear, disconnect the 12v feed reverse gear works but obviously won’t upshift. Which ecu would the fault for the road speed show up as no faults show in engine or trans ecu

Which ecu would the fault for the road speed show up as no faults show in engine or trans ecu
As long as you dont have the SLABS ECU connected the road speed fault code should be logged in the engine ECU and it should trigger a CAN code in the autobox ECU too so if you have no code it means that the scanner you used is unreliable or something really odd is happening.... here's the table with CAN data exchange and if one of the elements from the list is missing that should trigger a fault code in this case the road speed(3'rd from bottom) which is that VSS described earlyer can't be there cos it's delivered by the SLABS ECU.... IMO for such project you better sell the D2 autobox and buy a D1 box instead cos that doesnt need electronic management...that's just an ideea cos i dont know how would that fit to a Td5
