TD5 Alarm issues, Double Honk when lock

I have checked all the door switches and bonnet switch (I also tried unplugging it), but can't get the alarm not to honk twice when I lock the doors with the fob.

I now pulled the alarm fuse as a temporary solution but really don't like parking without the alarm.

If it is not the switches what could it be?

What is a common place for a bad ground that would make the alarm think the door is open?

Did you check the bonnet switch has not been pushed down and lost contact? Happened to mine once..... Good luck, A

it is making contact....thanks. I also unplugged it and it set off the alarm when plugged back in.

pull the wire of the proximity sensor above driver door.
