td5 aircon pump

Can anyboby tell me if its possible to remove the aircon pump/compressor and fit a with ace without aircon belt. im not sure if the belt will go straight from the bottom of the top pully to the top of the ace pump without fouling something else

As the belt are only about a tenner on ebay i thought that i could run like that and replace the aircon pump in the summer

. U have to put this ERR6493 IDLER TIMING BELT TD5 | Discovery 2 1998-2004: Engine: Mechanical | shop | www.lrseries.com | L. R. Series instead of the aircon compressor... That's the only way i know.

Think of this procedure the other way around... just that u have to spend the extra 15 quid for that...nr 3 in top pic

why do you want to remove the compressor?
if you turn the AC off the compressor wouldn't engauge anyway.

This only shows the pulley.Do you have a part number for the bracket that goes in place of the compressor ?
