HELP!
I have an intermitent problem with my Discovery air suspension. All works as it should for days and then it will just drop to the ground when i open a door.Have raised suspension manually with electrics disconnected and it will stay up no problem at all.No leaks that i can find. Can open doors, jump up and down in the back, everything ok.Bags have been replaced at some time and valve block works as it should.Compressor works fine and the filter is nice and dry.Reconnect electrics and it will be ok for days or drop straight away!Had an over-inflation problem on one side a while back, turned out to be a bad connection on the height sensor. Is it possible for both height sensors to fail at the same time or has it just been working on one?Help.I am running out of ideas!

Any improvements?? mine has just started doing the same thing!!

For the first time ever i went out to it on Sat morning and both sides were down to the stops. I started it up and it rose (evenly) back up and was fine for the rest of the weekend. Then this morning, the same thing! i think it must be a leak somewhere before it gets to the suspension shocks. Have you had any suggestions??

Inflate suspension, then disconnect both electrical plugs from the valve block next to the compressor. If it drops then it is probaly an air leak. If it stays up,like mine did, then it's electrical.I replaced both height sensors. So far,so good!

Is the block valve under the passenger seat or under the car, on the offside?

I'm going to buy a Haynes manual tomorroow, that way I can really mess things up!!

Hi,
Valve block is on N/S chassis under passenger door in a black box. Three solenoids, blue and white to either side, black for exhaust. But take note a lot do drop if parked on a non level area (ie one side up a pavement)
New valve blocks only available as a complete compressor unit. Approx £180 gen.

I just spent the previous week working on the coast, this involved driving through deep sea water puddles all day for 5 days, with no way to wash the sand/salt off. I dont imagine that will have helped?? Perhaps speeded up some corrosion on a pipe?

I'll check the valve block and see what happens.

does anybody know how to remove the air pipe. do you just pull the pipe out of the fitting. ( on commercial trailers the air fitting are a one time fit only ), or do you unscrew the fitting with a 10mm spanner. If so how do you deflate the airbag, and get the spanner onto the fitting ?

delate the air bag by slackening it off at the compressor end
