First of all folks I would like to say Big Hi to everyone. I have owned various Land rover models through the years but, as I get older and they get newer I find it harder to fault find. So I would really appreciate any help you can offer.
I have a Freelander 2003 Td4 which died on me the other night. The engine management light came on and the Freelander slowed to a halt. I checked for fuel up to the injectors and all is ok! But the engine would not start.
On the off chance I may be able to kick it into life I fired some cold start into the air intake put my foot to the board and magically it started. But, when the revs come down to 1500 the engine dies and it will not start again unless I use the cold start. Above 1500rpm it will run all day. I feel its the fuel pump but which one? The one under the rear wing, or the one in the tank? Or am I on the wrong track altogether
Please can some one help me before I scratch all my hair out.
