td4 smoking exhaust

hi all, my freelander 03 td4 smoking all the time embarrassing at traffic lights,big cloud behind,:doh:
also using engine oil have topped up over 4 litres,
gratetful for any help

when was the crankcase filter changed as could be the fault, however if it has not been changed would have a concern that the oil is being sucked through the turbo, and if so only fix is new turbo. Also look at all the pipes and turbo seals

how many miles has it done ?

hi all,
thanks for your help,
I've changed the crankcase filter today, took her out for a ten mile run,
and no smoke it's great

hope it has fixed it ,
