Hi All Me Again,
Just To Say The Td4 Is Workind Sound Apart From 2 Little Things. When I First Start Up The Car Judders Like Hell Till Is Warm And 2 Alittle Smoke Still Sometimes Out White But Mainly Black. The Judder Like I Say Is On Fire Up And Goes Away When Warm Untill Am Stuck At A Railway Crossing Or Similar And The Car Idles And Starts Juddering Again. Could This Be A Case Of An Air Lock In The Fuel System? Please Could Some One Advise Me Again Pleas. Cheers ;)
 
Sounds very much like an injector fault. To find out which one without paying dealer prices for diagnosis, take off the engine cover to get to the injectors, with the engine running (make sure it's cold and missfiring, i.e, the fault is present) starting at no1 injector, unplug it and see if the engine note changes, if not, plug back in and go onto the next one, keep going till you find one that doesn't change the engine note and that will be the one thats playing up.
 
Thaks Clutch Dust But In Td4 Smoke And Judder Part 1 I Had Just Changed The Faulted Injector. Any More Ideas? Cheers
 
Theres No Chance Am Buying Another, I Just Got 12 Mot So I Could Sell It. I Can See My Range Rover Being Put On Hold. ****e
 
get one from a breakers or summat, the engine is the same a BMW 320d, 530d, L322 range rover, BMW X5.

(yes i know RR,530 and X5 have six cylinder engines, apart from that, they are the same)

Should be able to get one from somewhere cheaply
 
I Cant Believe This Just When I Think Things Cant Get Any Worse I Get Shafted Again. I Must Have Upset Someone Up There Lol.

update All, Did The Plug Test And Freelander Stalled After Taking 2 3 And 4 Plug Off. Kept Running On 1 So I ThinK The Reconditioned NO.1 Injector Isn't Working Properly
 
Woopeeeee! I Got My Injector Back Eventually. I Fitted It And Noticed A Differance Straight Away. Took It For A Run, And Well Still Got Black Smoke ANY Only Slight Judder At 50mph In 4th. Al Use It For Work Tomorrow And See If It Clears Any.
