Does anyone know how much of a pain it is to remove the gear selector shaft with the weights on? Ours suffers quite badly from these weights vibrating at about 1500rpm, there's a bulletin I believe that says to cut the larger weight in half to stop the vibration..
Its a bit a job to see in there exactly how its held on, I can only think it will be a roll pin or similar, but doesn't look very friendly.. Just wondered if anyone's done it and has any tips..
I did stuff rag all around it to stop it vibrating, and sitting on the drive in neutral the difference was amazing, so quiet!! So I really do need to get it done.. and off the car, don't fancy getting the angle grinder fired up in there!!
