Hi everyone,
I've been given a 2005 td4 freelander with about 150k miles on it. Its been parked for almost a year due to a lack of power problem
I've been and revived the car and driven it home (just about), it seems to be flat and misfiring up till about 3k rpm then seems to take off leaving a cloud of black smoke. I know the vehicle hasn't been serviced in a while, this is one of the next things I'm going to do to it before it goes anywhere near the road again
Anyone got any ideas on the misfiring?
I'm gonna take the egr valve off tomorrow and clean it, as I've heard that if the valve doesn't set properly it can cause all sorts of issues
Thanks in advance,
James
