I have just performed a leak back test on the TD4 and I wanted to gauge peoples thoughts. When I tun the ignition key but not crank the engine, I can see no diesel in the clear pipe connected to the leak back of the injector. If I crank the engine it does not start, and once again I only get a small amount of fuel in the leak back pipe of 2 injectors.

I have no diagnostic equipment to hand so am unable to test the pressure of the low / high side. Just wondering what test I could try next in a bid to diagnose the fault?

Thanks

your not getting fuel at the injectors work you way back until you find where you are getting fuel
I have just replaced the rear LP pump at a cost of £127, but battery is now flat so cannot really test. The new pump, however, does seem to sound much louder and sounds like it has more power than than the one I took off. Will trickle charge vehicle battery tonight and retry tomorrow am. Fingers crossed.

Without a diagnostic machine I am working blind.

Ooh. Now I am worried!

I replaced the fuel filter 5 weeks ago and I know that it was a Britpart one :-( I have just read this article regarding the Britpart filter collapsing and blocking the outlet port. I wonder if that's what has happened to mine.

I chose not to put a new filter in today when I changed the LP one as I found getting the filter out of the plastic mount a right pain.

Do others on here use Britpart fuel filters?
