TD4 Issues

Hi all,

I recently purchased a TD4 (which is my second Freelander), okay I'm hoping you guys can help me sort the issues out on my current vehicle.

Firstly.. the tailgate opens fine, but the window is stuck in the dropped position. When I button bash the close switch I get a beeping noise (not sure what this is indicating). I'm assuming the following issues are related with the window, the rear wiper,washer and heated screen doesn't work .

Secondly the gear stick is very wobbly when selecting a gear, I'm hoping there is a bush I can replaced th rectify the issue.

Lastly my temp stays quite low and raises when on idea, there is not any smoke or lag in the vehicle. possibly a thermostat issue?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Here goes.
Thermostat, thats a commen issue, check the oil level. If its too high can cause the issue you have. If not then yes its your thermostat. you can spend a day changing the original one or fit an in line renualt one thats a bodge but works fine and takes twenty minutes.
Go to muddymods and get the new bushes, about 40 quid.
rear window needs recalibrating, google it. if its not that it will be the switch in the handle which is apparently a swine to replace, not done that one yet.
