Hello All,
on Sunday my td4 showed 73 degrees Celsius when we left, the car was standing the whole day. I was surprised that the fan didn't turn on even though it wasn't that hot, but yesterday I couldn't even touch almost the frame under the bonnet. A black car might not be helpful on that, but is it correct with the fan and radiator? The gearbox specialist some years ago where I had the car to fix had stated for warranty, that the radiator should be changed as that might have an affect on gearbox damage.. It's an auto box.
Any thoughts on that as I can't remember that I've heard the fan/s for a long time.

i'd say fans 'on' be more likely in high humidity conditions + high ambient temps
as humid air holds more heat ..
the humidity was relatively low on the last few 'heatwave' days
``````
although temps have dropped now .. humidity has gone up.
[ at least .. that's the case here ]
in 10yrs of driving my td4 .. ..
think i've heard the fans only twice
Put the AC on to test the fan drive circuit. If the fans run at slow speed with the AC on, then the fan drive module is working correctly. ;)
Thank you hd3 for the picture and the comment, so not that terrible.
@Nodge68, thanks will do once I got it fixed. Unfortunately the compressor seems to have a hole acc. to the garage and needs repair. But will test after.
