TD4 Gearbox issues

Possibly the same thing yes land rover quoted it to me as the sump. And if your interested to buy just the sump/solenoid cover pan from them they are over £700

Around 9 years ago they were something like £45 each. TJB500010. A number of sites have them at £720+vat which is daft. I've got 4. Am rich. The true cost er br*xit...
 
It's very unusual for the Jatco sump to rust through, as it's well protected from road spray by the sump guard.

It's more common for the driveshaft oil seals to leak.

Regards to all, I'm new here... Can anyone confirm me were is check oil level bolt on automatic gearbox freelander1 2002, mark it on picture if possible, thanks :) greetings from Montenegro.

Oooh a pirate photo!! Welcome. There is a good set of hippo pictures with all plugs you can and those you can't touch on this site. I'm sure a search would find them or H will be along shortly I am sure!!
