Had this problem on my TD4.----Due to partial corroded pins on plug and socket connection to the fuel high pressure sensor on left hand end of common fuel rail. Sprayed on some WD40 ,push plug in and out few times now runs well.First happened about year ago-repeated couple of times since but cured nasty problem very cheaply! See location Haynes manual page 4B 16. Possibly caused by engine cleaning pressure spray.

Hi Jobow

Had the exact same problem, broke down in the middle of Manchester a few weeks ago, waited for LR assistance for 2-3 hours. He knew straight away what the problem was, simply cleaned connector away you go.I will know for the next time. Also I find myself guilty:eek: for jet washing engine bay after green laning so maybe I caused the problem will be very carefull in future when cleaning engine bay.

Cheers
Schuee:)
