Morning All,

Yesterday morning when driving back from a walk accelerating from a traffic light the gear as above either from 1 to 2 or 2 to 3 not sure, went in so rough, that I was so worried, let the car standing for now. Was at the garage Saturday before last, and they found the gearbox cooler needs change as leaking. Could it be related to that? I had read on Pscan the transmission yesterday, but couldn't get any faults, same today. Last time that happened the gearbox was refurbished after, not something that I would like to go through again.
Transmission fluid temp. showed about 70 deg and coolant 133 on the transmission side, while on the diesel side it showed 95 for coolant max.. Odd this morning when I checked undriven at around 7:15 it showed 31 deg. would have thought it should be more like 12 to 15 degrees C. Coolant sensor change needed? It has ~211T miles now.
Could that gearbox cooler cause it? Better not drive till changed?

Matthias

Hi All,
I've just measured on 200 Ohm the solenoids of the Jatco (thanks @Hippo for the video) and was wondering what that shall mean. It shows all a bit higher than the limit. Could there be the oil a problem. It was changed some time in 2019.

Is the gearbox cooler leaking gearbox fluid? Low fluid can cause bangs when changing gear. I found out the expensive way.

So yer not getting a temp resding oft the gearbox? Did you use a fixed resistance meter with 2, 20, 200, 2k, 20k range options, and select each range while measuring? Or is yer resistance meter an auto range version?

The gearbox oil cooler was changed some weeks ago, but had the loud clonking still after from time to time. Felt more like when pushing the accelerator pedal down harder that it does it rather then when starting off smoother. The radiator had a leak and was fixed and two clamps, but still after that it did it.
I used a fixed resistance meter and changed it, I think it was on 200, but not sure anymore.

Is the clicking proportional to engine speed or vehicle speed? Does it do it all the time? And in reverse?
