Hi all
Just purchased a 2003 freelander td4 great car however last night driving along engine cut out and engine light came on. It happened apparently before i bought it too but was taken straight to dealer who changed an injector some other checks etc and fault cleared. I gave it a full service apart from fuel filter which arrives today ironically the only tell tale sign was sometimes it took a couple of times to start and on an odd occasion it would miss a little on motorway etc but as soon as you let off pedal and repressed it was fine. it is at 70 000 miles full dealer service history until 12 months ago.
Ok so my question I have a new landrover genuine under arch filter and pump arriving tomorrow morning and just looking for fitting tips. done a few searches but nothing turned up. do i need any jubilee clips or do you recommend correct compression clips fitting? i have lowered the pump and filter housing already so locating it is fine. anything else i should do whilst under there as prevention any restarting tips after fitting?
Cheers
Richard
