Tbox front output shaft query

Ah need to change the front bearing in the transferbox and was given some advice on how to do this. Ah was told that once ah get the flange, washers, seals etc off ah should see a circlip in front of the bearin'. Ah need to remove this and then use a slide hammer attached to the shaft.. drift the shaft out along with the bearing... is this right??
Ah've had a look in the manuals and can only find the oil seal removal/ renewal how to's and nothin' on the bearing!
Just needin' tae know if this is sound advice or not (given to me by somebody that has done quite a few before) before ah go ahead and knacker me Tbox.

according to my manwell the case has to come orf to remove bearing - hang on will post page.....

It' right, the shaft will come out with the bearing.

I also found pics of "make yoself tools - which i will post in a minute...

And ah won't knacker anything inside?
Just a bit curious as when ye look at the parts catalogue and workshop manuals, there seems to be another bearin', seal, shims, etc... these won't drop out will they?... or are the held in a housin' of some kind?
He did say that when puttin' it back in ah might have a problem gettin' the 'teeth' to line back up again.

Ah've got those ones in me workshop manuals, just couldn't see the way ah was told to do it.
The tool manual sounds good tho'

It'll be fine, when u put it back just turn the shaft as u tap it ,don't forget the circlip before the seal :doh:.

Ah'll be takin' some photies of it when ah'll be doin' it to make sure everything goes back in the way it came out
Just had a thought... ah don't need to put the box into nuetral do ah?
