… if only I knew some people in Kent that know their way around old engines…🤔
It’s the parts and the upkeep for something that old that worry me.
And what my misses would say.

OK. Mainly, what my misses would say.
I could sell the idea that it’s a ‘Vera’ model (she watches the show, and says she want a Vera Landie. Well, it’s not that far off, and she won’t see beyond the Blue and the badge!
A pair of tinted glasses should sort out the colour issue, and you can some really lifelike stickers these days !!

In the market for a landy again. Preferably a series. SWB, a 109 will be considered.
Pickup. With tilt preferred
Want it as a second / historic vehicle, so prior to 1985 please.
I now have space, garage and time.
My last Landy was a freelander LC55 RVU. Had series and defender too.
Hope this reaches the correct person with the vehicle for me.
Edit: Never had a lightweight! Always wanted one.
Hi Pompey
I wondered if you were still interested?
I'm selling my Series 3 1977 SWB hardtop. Tax and MOT exempt. Had her since about 2010. Been a work in progress over the years.
Here's what's been done, front to back:
New galv. and powder coated bumper. New plastic headlight buckets. Replacement radiator. 2.5 N/A diesel. New clutch. Recon. Box with overdrive. F/W hubs. New clutch cylinders. Galvanised chassis just pre-covid. New brake pipes fixed and braided. Parabolic springs which are polybushed with Procomp suspension units. Cam belt change at same time as chassis.
Drivers seat is from Defender. Rear tub floor replaced on new stringers.
Dixon Bate hitch with steps. Modular wheels with Insa Turbo on rear and Lion Marrix on front.
Swing away spare wheel carrier and spare.
Doors all replaced as were the locks.
MOT just before Christmas - three advisories: Rear wheel bearing needed replacing, being done today. Seat box corroded under passenger seat. Minor fluid leak at front. No comment other than minor.
Starts on the button and has never left me stranded on the road.
I live near Matlock in Derbyshire which is not far from you.
Cheers
Tim

great
Sounds great tbf Tim, you have had a lot of work done what sort of beer tokens are we looking at?

Looking for about £7500 or thereabouts. The wheel bearing advisory has been done but the seat box could be repaired with just the passenger underseat tool box needed. About £45 plus a few rivets :) .
