Hello All,

I had the case taken off for the regulator repair and when the glass smashed Autoglass came around to fix it while I wasn't in. The bloke asked me if he should put the case back on, but of course he didn't have the screws, etc. to do it properly and I can't remember which ones go where now. I had a look on cat.lrparts.ru but couldn't find a pic with all the pieces.
Does anyone have a picture of the tailgate door with case taken off, that I could see all the screws and other bits and pieces that need to go back in?

There's 4 large self tapping screws along the bottom, and 2 bolts at the top, each side of the window, which hold the rubber capping seal on.

Morning Nodge68 and thanks, but I have also two metal bits, which I think I shouldn't have taken off from the door itself in erro. Not sure if they were for the case.

Those are the bits. Am sure they were from the tailgate. Just had a look and there are no screw or bolds. Will take it off fit it again. I think that plastic belonged in there as well.
 
OK. Those are for the optional rear window guard which you may or may not have.

If you haven't got one don't fit them. They screw into rivnuts near the top of the door and the grill guard slips into them.

Hi Andy, are those the only parts needed to fit the window guard ? As I think I can get a guard but it has no fitting kit, if so if @mbrokof doesn't need them I'll ask him if he wants to part with them;).
 
In a nutshell yes. There should be 2 x large headed bolts that can be wound into the raised threaded portion of the bracket to hold the legs on the window grille.
The op may have those too??
Great addition for dogs. My orange G4 lookalike has got one.
You will need to make holes in the plastic door liner to allow the legs of the grille to enter the above brackets. Getting them in the right place is tricky. If you haven't got the paper template worth making one to prevent a door liner looking like a piece of Swiss cheese!!

I figure if he had the dog guard he would have instantly recognised the brackets so you might be lucky. The missing bolts could be fabricated easy enough.

Thanks Andy, that makes sense now. Thought those bits would keep the case in place in the top and was wondering all the time what the holes are for in the top of the case. Didn't know the guard exist. Maybe doggie needs to move to the boot after all.

Must have a look for the bolts. Think to remember there were some, but as my wife cleaned up when she needed the car, sometimes things go astray. It's so well sorted then, that I can't find it no moreo_O. The guard might have been installed from new as the shedder looked perfect, but not sure if it would have had an effect on it.
