Interesting. Its a chemical reaction and I would have thought that amongst all the clever people on this forum and their wider contacts that some chemist could work out an antidote. Paint does not do it for me so I will try some random chemicals and get back to you.

It's not plastic, it's some kind of coating on the plastic. Acetone improves it a bit but is very aggressive.Make a paste of baking soda or use orange essential oil. Works on most plastics

Around the switches, the little fan intake and the edges past the radio down towards the gear lever.Which parts of the dash are we talking about? I've not noticed any stickiness on mine.
