Alas, not as light as I thought... following reabuilding the engine I got a phone call informing me that wasn't the whole problem. Turns out it was the cup for the cam follower, it had actually broken in half apparently. Next the challenge is to find the wee bits of hardened metal floating around in said engine... hey ho!
