It's only 3" apparently. With my roofrack off my noo landy is 2-3" higher than my old one. I is slightly worried meself.:( :( :(

Glad I'm not the only one wary of this.
New boots have got my LPG tanks right off the deck now, got similar clearance to a standard Disco, would move them to the boot but I need more than rust to bolt them to
Saw Robin last Fri, you got your teething troubles sorted yet?

I fink so. There is thick black oil in the heater matrix (a bit like the ****e that the egr kicks out). I rekon somebody has connected the oil cooler hoses to the coolant system by mistake. It is running fine and not overheating but I am concerned with the pressure in the hoses. It has been pressure tested and sniff tested and is currently being checked over by an engineer. He can't find a problem either. I have flushed out the cooling system 6 times now and it is getting better but it is just the pressure in the pipes that is bothering me. The heater matrix was disconnected when I got it so I am hoping that it is because they realised their mistake. I will find out on my way to Robins on friday. It will be bingo or bollocks.

I'm bringing me saw just in case, my Disco's 6 inches taller than standard, etheir that or bring the cheeper battle wagon, but that aint a Landy and i've only got the drivers seat in it and half a floor. Also i lost the new hand brake cables off the back of me R1, new it was a bad idea to cable tie them to the bike and come up the motor at 130mph.

Had similar problem on one of our MAN trucks recently - loss of water with excess pressurisation and overheating.
Problem was traced to a leak involving the EGR valve and the EGR heat exchanger going slightly porous.
Is there a similar set up on a TD5?

Yes but it is ONLY in the heater matrix covered in black gunk which is the first thing in line with the oil cooler if it was wrongly connected. It shows clear on the sniff test too. No overheating and only loses water if the pressure cap blows. (twice so far) approx 250ml both times. If I leave the coolant level that 250ml short to start with it doesn't blow (although I haven't given it a good 70mph rant to double check).

wotcha got Boomer?

Did a straight swap with my nearly worn out Colways on the Rangie rims and took a chance on 4 used Grizzly Claws on silver modulars.
2 tyres were pretty shot, but 2 are hardly worn and will be used as spares.
(Going to Wales in October and thought I better carry 2 spares).
So today I have bought 4 x 265/75 16 Insa Turbo Dakars (BFG MT copy) which 4x4 Store Exeter did me a good deal @ £240 inc VAT.
Getting them fitted to the modular rims tomorrow.
Would have liked a better make but I dont mind buggering up a tyre so much when its a cheaper one.

I know what you mean. I bought some 265/75/16 special tracks a few weeks ago. I ordered 5. 1 had a small amount of sidewall damage so they sent me a 6th. 6 for £350:p
