Got my parts today was already to start then realized there was only the paper gasket in the kit FRC4206, would have thought that the Retainer FRC4142 would have been there too. will try my local landy dealer tomorrow to see if he has them in.
Then see if I can build it all back together without breaking anything:rolleyes:

Yes you would, but often the small print says 'picture is for illustrative purposes only'.
Have you checked the one you bought?
Yes everything is right only retainer missing, well not missing really as its not on the parts list. seen some people put it back together and set the preload out on the bench, not sure which will be easier to do it this way or do it on the axle,

I set the pre-load on the vehicle rather than the bench. The reason for this is nothing to do with the ease of setting the pre-load. Instead it is how easy it is to bolt the swivel ball to the axle tube. It is much easier when it is disassembled and does not weight much compared to fully built up with the housing and pins. Although I am usually doing this sort of thing on my own so have to hold it against the axle while trying to put the bolts in. If you have a helper it may not matter as much.
