Hi all,

Thanks in advance for the attention.

I recently was trying to change the grease on my swivel (since the car was 7 years without running) and noticed I don't have drain and level plug.

After some research I found out that Land Rover changed the swivels in 1997 and It's supposed to use one shot grease and it goes to the "level".

However, I added some grease and it came out of the fill plug, so I still have the old grease there after all these years.

I have tried to take out grease with a seringe and a hose but it's not possible.

My main issue here, is that I want to take the old grease out and replace it with a new one. How am I supposed to do that without the drain plug?

Do you guys have any ideas? Should I stick with the old grease and just top off a bit?

Thank you very much.

You can't without stripping it all down.
You need to turn the wheel to full lock to squirt some grease in, take the plug out turn the wheel and the hole will become open as the swivel is out of the way.

Remove the swivel seal and let grease drip out. Refit seal and fill with new grease. Make sure to turn the wheels so new grease passes the goes into the swivel and not on top of it.
