I take it you have power to the switch pack and seat controls Pete?

It’s to dark to go through that now Alan but all I did was unplug the old ones and just got round to installing the new I will check it all out for power tomorrow and try nanocom but i did test all the fuses and relays a few weeks back and ricks had the becm

Tried the windows and sunroof with the nanocom all worked ok but still no front seat movements on either the nanocom or the seats all fuses checked out ok so nxt option is check the white connectors to make sure there’s power is it the small two wire connector or the big one does anyone know

Front passenger seat working ok with buttons the power coming in to it from the big connector of the 3 but drivers side still no joy but there’s only 2 connectors to that seat and it’s the only one with the outstation so figure it must be power or earth where does it get power from the becm I do have a replacement outstation I’ve I need to swap them over but would rather check it’s got power going to it 1st any ideas as to the power wire would be much helpful as lost with these electrical gremlins

I thought they all run through the same ecu under the seat I’ve looked everywhere for the feed to the drivers seat working through 1st the relays then it mabey the wire that goes to the green plug on the becm or the ecu mabey knacked but to change it looks a ball ache just to find it’s a wire

Good point but why is seat affected?
I know the answer! Because it's a P38 ;)

My P38 tells me I have a gearbox fault at *any* whiff of electrical gremlins. It even did it when I blew up the MAP sensor (don't ask) and limited the car to 50mph. The only fault showing up was "gearbox fault". That took some searching to fix.

I explained to my wife the P38 diagnostics and fault display is like going to the doctor with earache and being told you've broken your foot...
