i have fuel issues with my new landy, old inline fitter was filthy and blocked, so changed, two weeks later the new one is filthy now!
Is there a filter or gauze in the tank that would need changing along with inline filter?
if the fuel pump is working properly would you expect to see the inline filter full of fuel of half air?

how easy is it to completely renew the fuel line from tank to pump to carb?

thanks thanks thanks

More chance your problem is with the tank not the fuel line.Yes there can be air in the inline filter[not a problem] Yes there can be a gauze in the tank that blocks.Tank may well have internal corrosion.

been here before tried all sorts to removed the tank corrosion in all but 1 case ended up replacing the tank,

Good idea to rebuild lift pump as some of the replacements about are a bit duff. To do anything much with the tank you are going to have to remove it to give it a good clean out and if its that corroded then replacement may be a better option. Another possibility is leak through of engine oil into the lift pump, take it filter is after lift pump?

Some tanks have a drain on the bottom, you could try flushing the tank as a temporary fix. You can get fuel tank lining stuff but, by the time you've taken the tank off, cleaned it, lined it and replaced it you'd be better off buying a new one! Around about £100, give it a good couple of coats of paint/underseal before fitting, job's a good one. Don't be surprised if you need to do a bit of "adjusting" to make it fit, though.
Lift the driver's floor panel to access the fuel pipe if you need to replace it, don't forget to clean the gauze filter at the bottom of the pickup pipe.

its on the end of the fuel pick up pipe best order a gasket for that and the fuel sender if you have an under seat filler it is possible to drain the tank via the bottom drain plug and then get an airline into the tank to try and blow the crap out the drain hole
