Swapping seat bases

Hi All,

Has anyone actually swapped over the seat bases? Easy to do?

I've tried to get it done by several different places but they don't want to do it ...... as if they are frightened of the RR Phantom ...

I'll do it, drop it round on Monday if its not raining

Think it would be best if he sent you 1st class tickets to Dubai. It won't be raining there.

Seat bases are straightforward to change - and mighty cheaper than taking them to a stealer.

Thanks.

Not the dealer, but local guys who normally tackle anything are strangely reluctant to disturb the RR continuum ...

So, to do it myself, do i need to shift the entire seat assembly, or can get at the fixings easily (oh, wait, it's a P38 ...) ?

Have a look at rangerovers.net. They have a section on seat removal (its about repairing the heated seat element) which will give you a step by step guide.
