I'm looking at hiring a vehicle in Crete to take two adults and two kids
around. I guess the vitara would be great for most of the time buzzing round
the island, but does it have enough space to take the luggage of two adults
and two kids from the airport to the hotel?

Thanks

I checked out the *Grand* Vitara before I bought my current 4x4, and
although I loved it, I was horrified by its small size, assuming
'Grand' meant 'big'!

I agree, it's got a small boot. But as it's an economical car on the whole,
why not tow a luggage car around?

Not my idea of fun - but OK for some people. They are really nice cars
though. Towing rather defeats the object of getting a nicely driveable
car, imo. Why not hire something a bit bigger?
I suppose it depends on how much luggage is involved - if it's only to
and from the airport, I guess we could fit in our family's gear, but
we travel lighter than most.
