Suspension Uneven!!

1997 HSE 4.6 - Suspension was spot on, then just had one of the rear suspension bags replaced. Now suspension levels still go up and down OK, but in normal driving mode it seems really high (5" clear of tyre) and when i set it to the lowest level, the side with the new bag replacement goes right down, but the other side sits 3" higher than the wheel. Land Rover garage said they tried to reset levels but the 'computer' wouldn't have it.

They 'tried to reset the levels but the computer wouldnt have it'?! Was this a proper dealer or a specialist?? did they try and recalibrate it when they fitted the new air spring or afterwards when you noticed a problem.

Something doesn't sound right here, you dont need to recalibrate when fitting a new spring. Can you get underneath the affected corner and have a look at the heigh sensor?? Look for any signs of damage etc.

The garage is London Land Rover (LRR) not a main dealer - and i questioned them when i went to collect the car why the suspension was high and uneven. I did not take the car and left it there again as they said they could manually adjust each corner. When i went back to collect they said that the computer would not let them do it. What should i ask them as i'll be taking it back next week?

First mistake was accepting the car back in that condition as it would be deemed dangerous to drive by the 'plod'
You paid them to carry out a repair which they have cocked up, insist that they pay to get it put right even if it means they have to use a main dealer and ask for a courtesy car as well.
