The wiring is the same - did you order a 10MY or a 09MY height sensor?

That part number is for 2002-2009 MY, which as you're finding out, is different to production year. To be fair, the seller shouldn't be saying it's valid for any L322 production year. Other sellers list it from the year the part was introduced, even if it's backwards compatible... https://www.lrparts.net/lr020627-ri...ue-front-right-hand-from-2004-up-to-2009.html

So to rule out errors. I don't have an adaptive damper, right? Otherwise cables would have to come away from the damper.

No you don't - you can also tell you don't as there are only 3 wires connected to the height sensor, on the L322 the sensor has two separate circuits in it, one for the suspension & one for the ARC system so you would have 6 wires connected if you had ARC, later versions have only 3 wires, not 6 and the height values are broadcast on HS-CAN.

It's done!!!!

Bought LR023651 and installed it and then the calibration went through without any problems. I can now raise and lower the car without any problems and it no longer goes into extended mode.

I would like to thank everyone involved who helped me find the solution. Thanks alot !!!!!! 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
