i wouldnt worry too much about having most of that stuff if you come with us on saturday as there will be plenty of people there with recovery gear, tho hopefully you wont get stuck, but its more fun for us if you do:D

I've PM'd the meeting place details out to everyone that has placed an interest so far in laning this Saturday, if anyone has been missed PM and i will get them out to you, Think we've got about the right number of people now, but if need be there is always the possibility of splitting up into smaller groups. CHEERS.

i can send you the route we did yesterday but it will probably altered tomorrow. We will also be doing a few more lanes which arent on it

there's a bit of everything really. from a mud, clay, sand rocky. Even an optional fairly challenging bit for those who wish to attempt it. Not sure if i've got any pictures lying about anywhere

Can't wait. I haven't been anywhere recently, apart from my local lane to walk the dog.
I'm up for a bit of a challenge, all of the tricky ones near me are closed for the winter. The scenery in Surrey is so good too.

ive been out in the cold today , did the drive shaft, nailed the rear bumper on and sorted my new lights,,

kris- are you coming to mine first, or where do u wanna meet..

jamz- have youfixed your cb ariel????????????

I've got a picture of one of my mates at the steps, but it doesn't really do them justice.:scratching_chin:

Kris, looking at that picture of the steps, it looks like with my 88" wheelbase I'll be trying to climb both steps at the same time. Should be interesting, might need a tug.

Think it will be best to do the other lanes first, the steps are optional for those that want to have a go. Through out the day if there's anywhere your likely to brake something it will be at the steps, so it is your choice and you will not be pushed into doing them in anyway. So for the less experienced or equiped, don't worry.

knew there was something i had to do today. Will go out now and try to rig something up with gaffa tape!

Don't say that, I've just put a brand new one on. I hope to be well clear of the rocks though.

You'll probaly have to turn around in a streem then! If we go down hill over those rocks and take it slow it should be fine.

I dont mind goin up it, but it takes a while and i would imagen not everyone is as willing to throw there landy at rocks as i am. Last time i used the winch, and it was fine, waffle boards would probaly do the trick as well.

Question; Is all the route on OS map 186 (1:50,000 Guildford) ?
