Nope they decide you've used X amount of miles travelled. Usually based on the mot mileages since you bought it and work out an average MPG. then they charge you for the full duty on that amount. If you can't or won't pay they impound the car if it's worth selling, it'll go to auction if it's not it'll go to be crushed.
Depending on how much of a prat the guy is He can still insist you pay the outstanding amount as well.

One tank, Two tanks, or how many tanks, if you are on the road and they stop you, you will be captured even if the red diesel fuel tank isn't in use.

for cost co you have to be a buisness ie ltd company/sole trader with a bank account and company cheuqe book
or
work for certain people ie teachers,police,nhs
and certain professions
employers can rergister and get emploeyees cards at 12 each

Well Tesco’s were quiet adamant in the cs department to only allow 10 bottles at a go
of pura but i was told they don’t store extra they just get delivery’s every day, tbh i couldn’t understand if i order 40 bottles and collected next week surely they could order the extra for then but no she wouldn’t entertain the idea , this was the Batley branch of Tesco’s, as for the trade route I’m in a partnership and might get a Costco members ship and so how much they are and I’ll post their prices here, the membership is 20 quid but it might be worth it,
Tho i thought order from Tesco’s online order 50 quid of shopping (oil) and then a 10 quid discount code then just 3.95 for a late delivery that would surely be the cheapest?????

Ade...you're a Lancashire lad like myself so which Tesco was this at? All the outlets near me are looking at 74ppl for the Tesco branded stuff. Nothing cheaper.

When you get stopped by "VOSPA" they only dip your tank and not check your filters. i only say that as a lad at work has been running his landy on it for a long time and has only been stopped once.
Cpouldnt run my landy on it as its in my garage having chassis up rebuild.

Nah he'll be safe CharlesY, He's using a 2nd tank HMR&C will never have come across that trick before.
I'm gonna fit a false tank inside my main tank and run on red cos they won't have come across that trick either.

not all games are for a prize, hence russian roulette. I know fellas at my work do it but when they get caught, and it will happen, they're fooked!But good luck to them in the mean time.

Down ere i heard they just take it away, crush it and then you have to argue why it shouldn't have been crushed and claim the compensation back - basically they make it as difficult as possible going through the compensation process to get comeback and they make the "process" so hard it ain't worth it! Result: no landy and an indignant "owner"! (read loser)

Wrong. The police, customs and VOSA are all alowed to check your vehicle for red. If you are lucky and they are in a hurry they will dip your tank. If you are unlucky and check you fuel system they WILL confiscate your vehicle. If it is the police or vosa who confiscate your vehicle then they will call customs and excise who will test the fuel at the engine. If you are then lucky you can get your vehicle back for the minimum fine of £500. If you are unlucky you can have your vehicle crushed, The minimum fine applied and the revenue owed still has to be paid. On the plus side you do get 28 days to pay before they approach the courts to send the bailiffs into your house to recoup these costs.
