Wot a hoot it was good humoured really:) :) :) :)

i spent 4 years drag racing a subaru.....

i bought it standard with 280bhp and 265lbpft and when i sold it, it had 485bhp and 470lbpft...

i spent nearly 4k to acheive this and learnt some hard lessons on the way.....

if you want an air filter to work, you need to fit a non restrictive exhaust too.....noo point if the engine can suck all the air in but cant get the gasses out...on a turbo, keep the exhaust as straight aand short as poss with no back preasure....have a custom made downpipe made so you can keep the wastegate gasses seperate from the outlet gasses, as this causes compressor stall.....you cant fit a dump valve as there is no throttle body....fit a lrger intercooler or better still a charge cooler, this works better, as an offroader moves slow and doesnt get the air flow to cool the charge...

recirc your crankcase breathers to a catch tank, so you are not burning em...increase your boost by an electronic boost controller, not a bleed vavle, so you can eliminate boost spikes and controll the boost in each gear.....

if its a petrol, fit nos...if its a diesel fit butane injection...i think???

then have your fuel uprated on the pump if its a diesel, or with the pump and preasure regulator if its a petrol efi.....then bigger injectors....

now find a proper rolling road that can tune and map and get them to sort it propely....

i havnt mentioned exhausts are different on a na engine, they need some backpreasure and the length has an effect......

in the tunung world, you get what you pay for, but do you really need more power or do you need more torque???

or do you just need to improve your trucks capabilities....?????

or is it the drivers capabilities......??????
