Hello,

I have a slight problem at the moment with a leak from my sunroof. It seems to be dripping, ever so slightly, from the seat belt housing at the front on both sides.

I've heard people mention drain pipes. Are these easy to replace\fix?

Oh, it's a Disco TD5.

Cheers

Water shouldn't get to the drain pipes in the first place. There are two seals, body to sunroof and sunroof to the glass with this one, if that's where the leak is, try a thin smear of Vaseline around the seal if that doesn't work then replace the seal.

Nearly every Disco 2 or f/lift we sell needs the roofs sealing, an easy fix. Just mask up the roof 2-3mm from the frame and ditto for the frame and seal with windscreen sealent. Keep it neat and tidy and it won't look a mess. If you want to be sure just lie your face down on the roof and look at the seal between the frame and body, it's normally warped a little due to heat from the sun:eek: ( won't have happened recently then!!) you'll see gaps, when you seal make sure your bead is thin enough to fill in the void also.
Good luck

Vaseline seems to have fixed mine, once I reseated one of the seals which had come adrift. If not, see Mr Mantamad's wondrous guide Discovery Sunroof Guide

Just my screen and alpines leaking now!:)
