sunroof change

hi guys my p38 has got a sunroof and its got part of the lifting mechanism is broken, ive got a complete sunroof in my shed and was wondering what sort of job it is to take out the roof lining and swap the complete sunroof over, is a 3-4 hours or a whole day etc and do i need more than 1 person thanks

just replace the broken parts or the rails ,you can get them out without removing the whole sunroof ,easy enough to do by yourself,just watch not scratch the roof when removing the glass.good luck

i cant get the glass to open up or go back which makes it a bit harder

mine just wouldnt lift up,but that doesnt matter,you will have a black cover on each side of the sunroof which covers the 2 screws each side which holds the glass in place.to remove these you have to either slide front or backwards of their clips ,mine were well stuck so just ripped them off,surprisingly didnt break so i was able to see how to remove the other side without damage .you then have access to the 4 screws to remove the glass,you will then see what parts are broken and need replaced
