For a gasket? I stick them with a bit of grease, never had a problem

When my 38' came off the road and smashed the sump with the diff, once repaired I didn't fit a gasket. Just blue engine gasket sealer. That was nearly five year ago. No, it doesn't leak.

Use an electronically tested sealant and you wont need to pull out
