Hi Everyone,
Can anyone suggest where i should start to try and suss this out?
Defender 300tdi has been running great for ages. Regularly serviced including a month or so ago.
Suddenly this morning was difficult to start. When it did start, runs as if missing. Pressing the throttle and it will increase reves ok and turbo comes on. But, then splutters back to poor again. Pressing the throttle now and nothing much happens. Leave it to run rough for a few moments and i can rev it up again with the throttle.
fuel issue?
injector?
I read on this forum it could be the head gasket, so I checked for gas coming out around cylinder 4 as instructed. I dont think its that. Couldnt see any obvious defects.
I shall crack off the injectors one at a time, but other than that im not sure where to start.
