subwoofer advice needed

Hmmm, those speakers will give you next to nothing like that.
you need them on a baffle, or an enclosure, like that the air they displace will simply rush round to the back of the speaker, giving little or no mid/bottom

yeah i thought that that was happening, if i made a simple square box out of wood and kind of screwed it around the speaker would that help a bit do you reckon?

Better than nothing but speaker enclosure design is a science all to itself.
