Not even I go down there on my mountain bike. Nice evening out & glad to be of service. It's good to be able to make contact with LZR for errors of judgment & ask for help on a friendly forum & have people you have never met offer to help you.
I "joined" LZR that evening to help & no beer tokens were exchanged (even though these were offered) all I asked for was to help each other in times of need.
Every one keep up the good work & be safe in what we all enjoy.

Another restriction on these lanes are seasonal and dated. Look at sign post.
& yes people still ignore these

Thought if it was "voluntary" it means they would like you not to drive it & cause further damage?
Some of the VRO on wilts lanes have been there for years. These are ok when it's not wet & no damage is been caused but they should make them seasonal.
I know if you cause damage these lanes will close but this lane where he was recovered from has been in this state for 4 years.
Last drove this lane with the 1 horse engine. this is also questionable as the carriage has 4 wheels therefore they class as a vehicle.

That is the way I read it, Voluntary and I understood it to also be for motorised 4 wheeled vehicles and if needed motorcycles. But Personally, If someone knowingly drives on a VRO then I think they are idiots as they are just giving ammunition to the ones who want to shut all byways to the greenlaning community.
If there are VRO's in Wiltshire still in place when they should not be then speak to the GLASS rep or the RoW officer. Simples really.

My understanding of a VRO is that it is a quick and easy way to make known to the wider audience that a lane is deemed to be in danger of damage . It saves getting a TTRO on it , and we should be capable of understanding that it is there for a reason and using common sense.

I did last year, but I was a little disappointed with the info they give out, or rather, lack of it! Still, I'll renew my membership as they do do a very good job
