I have a Dodge RAM 1500 LWB, 2WD truck. I installed a PowerTrax
locker in the rear end, which works great for getting through your
average post-rain muddy ruts. I still want to carry along a High-Lift
jack and a board to put under a wheel, just in case I do get stuck.
After all, even with the locker back there, it's still just a 2WD.

Question: my truck has a standard, Class III rear hitch which I use to
tow a boat with. It has a max tow weight rating of 5000-6000 lbs,
and max tongue weight rating of 600 lbs. It's bolted onto the rear
frame (it's a Draw-Tite, if that helps). Pretty vanilla Class III
installation.

If I get stuck, could I stick the tongue of the High-Lift into the
hitch of that receiver, and use that to jack up the truck? Not jack it
up high, but just enough to work a board under a wheel so I could get
out. That's really the only jacking point I have.

Should be fine, I use my rear bumper receiver tubes for my HiLift.
