STT's or Duratrac's for a 90?

As above, I've got a good deal on both, the stt's are slightly cheaper but not much in it.
I've done all the reading up I can handle, any rec's?
The duratrac is rated better in snow, I'm just after a good all rounder, I've narrowed it down to just these two now
 
STt are a mud tyre and look more extreme than duratrac. Those goodyear ones look like the more extreme end of all terrains.

So is it off road and mud, or better on road you want?

Not much off roading apart from a few farm track when I go fishing. Mainly road.
 
Have you thought of cooper st maxx, it's better than the stt on every surface except thick mud ( even then it's not far behind ).
Tad more expensive though.

Yes, they've got a great write up but I'm a tight bugger and they're about £30 more each!

Are those Mach 5's? Would you say they 265's fit an 8 inch rim better and don't 'bulge' as much as when fitting to a 7" rim? I'm on std L/R wheels which are 7's and I'm debating wether to get some Mach 5's or similar because of this, a 265 seems to have a better, squarer profile on an 8" if that makes sense?!
 
Yes they are Mach 5's but the tyres are 285/75's. I agree though , I'm not too keen on the tyres bulging too much. Although 265's aren't too bad on 7"s
 
Thanks, I've changed my transfer box for a 1.2 disco unit, very pleased with it and how its geared, I'm running 235/85/16's at the moment, I think going to 285's might increase the hearing a bit more, another 3% might make too much difference, I'm not sure though?! I thonk the 1.2 makes about 15% difference as it stands now, what do you recon?
 
On their own the 285's didn't make a huge difference to the gearing, might be too much with the change of gearing though.

The best thing about 265's is that you don't need to change anything. With 285s they can rub a bit. On boosts they rubbed inside , on the Mach 5's with a 10 mm offset they just fouled on the rear arches. Although its now had a suspension lift so its ok
 
OK, thanks again, I think I'll stick to the 265's for now, I'm on the SVX type alloys at the moment with 30mm spacers, they look lovely but I've always fancied some Mach 5's or Zu's, I'd be able to sell them no problem, but I guess I'd only be going to the 8" rim for the fact that the tyre don't bulge as much. How much bulge do you think you'd get on a 265 on a 7" rim? Sorry to keep asking daft questions, but I'm a bit daft!
 
265's on 7" rim is a very common fitment it'll look good, better than the 235's IMHO especially with the spacers
