I'm after a similar answer, sand down, zinc, etch then paint????So whats the story with zinc paint? Does it work? Can it be painted over?
Etch is used on the bare metal (if needed) not on top of paint.I'm after a similar answer, sand down, zinc, etch then paint????
get it powder coated, Excel in Mildenhall are pretty cheap and do a hard wearing slightly textured finish that they do for a few off road parts companies and Safety Devices roll cages who are on the same estate.
Fair enough, it's possible to powder coat stuff where it doesn't flake off, excel have al kinds of techniques, especially if you get it hot galvanised sprayed first by a guy in Hockwold that does hot blasting and galv coatings. Things improve........
