I would be inclined to replace all those wheel nuts as you don't know what damage has been done to the others, they may also have been weakened by over tightening.

From my own experience, a lot of wheel nuts at a certain period were made of inferior materials.
Ford, Volvo, Chrysler, land Rover and Jaguar all decided to put stainless over mild steel. Yeah, great idea.

That's all well and good but, unless it tightens a bit before clicking it's, already well over torqued.Having used the rattle-gun they are supposed to re-check the torque with a calibrated wrench.

Set the rattle gun to a lower torque setting, so it just spins the nuts up tight enough to safely drop the car onto it's wheels ?
That's the correct way but, unless you're standing watching, how many do?
I guess most of us here know that and understand.
But that's maybe why we don't work at "kwikfit" or whatever.
