Afternoon all,

I could do with some help. The thread on number 1 spsrk plug has stripped on my Freelander. Yes, it probably was me but no one can prove it! My question is can this be helicoiled in situ and if so does anyone know who could do this in the Midlands? I live near Market Harborough if that helps.

pop to a local garage and they might be able to do it in situ or point you to some where close that can

rockingham L/Rovers ...01536 770109 if that fails... scrap it :D

With re-tapping for a Helicoil you will generate some swarf, which is not really good for the engine!

I have a spare box of matches if you're interested! :D:D

Thanks all, local garage put me in touch with Northampton Cylinder Heads, 3 hours later it was all fixed. No matches needed and another Freelander lives on...... sorry!
