Cheers Galladog!Wish I had a garage, only got a gravel drive at the side of the house.
Good work landy -lee.
Cheers mate!Loving the progress and the photo. Nice work mate
@landy-lee what are your suspension thoughts for this build?
My thinkings are Genuine Bushes fitter all round and i also have Genuine LR springs. Fronts are yellow yellow and rear is green white.
As for shocks i will be fitting Koni heavy track raids.
I plan on doing some weekend trips on these springs and see how it feels if i need to i will upgrade to a heavier spring.
If all feels good but the back is bit low i will pop some 1 or 2 inch springs spacers under.
Aup PayydgNice, what made you go for the Konis? Were you planning on sleeping in the vehicle roof tent/camper style?
Yes im not up to date but i do listen to them And yes i have learned a lot for them guys. Also have you listened to the overland journal podcast? It’s a bit American so they take an hour to say what you could in 10mins but those guys have done some serious adventures and there’s some pretty sound advice and expertise in there.

After doing a lot of research i got it down to Old Man Emu and Koni but i herd a few horror stories about the OME shocks braking at the welds.
At this time though i could not find much out about the Konis so i ran a poll on Facebook and instergram and found a few people that ran both and said the Koni was better and worth the extra money. On instergram a guy who works for Devon 4X4 started massaging me and said the Koni is the way to go and they never had a issue with them one Genuine Springs.
If money was no object i would go for the OME BP-51 shocks but at £500 a corner i will go with the Koni at £200 a corner.
I am going to run Front shocks in the rear and use the Gwyn lewis upper shock mounts that takes the pin type and not the eye bush type.
I have herd that customs don't like full jerry cans on vehicles when crossing borders or going on boats and trains so i though a extra fuel tank would be a good ides. Plus i think it will come handy when exploring the gobi desert!Looking good.
I had double tanks. Did not like the fuels bills but was fun going further than the others
At the docks we had been stopped with 2 x Jerry cans on the landys. We used to empty these before crossing. (In the series 1)I have herd that customs don't like full jerry cans on vehicles when crossing borders or going on boats and trains so i though a extra fuel tank would be a good ides. Plus i think it will come handy when exploring the gobi desert!
