Me and a few mates did strata florida this week, we went well prepared for bad weather but didn't expect 7inch thick ice and a foot of snow!
It took us 4 hours to get half way and when we got to the first river crossing it was frozen over! We gave in (after crossing the river/ice very slowly) and headed back because it was starting to get dark and didn't fancy digging ourselves out in the pitch black.

Looks a bit worse than when we did it last year.

Although we did it the other way around judging by the 90 in the ditch (we had the benefit of being able to floor it if we started slipping into it)...

Sypher: I had 3 pairs of socks on and thermals(don't laugh) and I was still bloody freezing!
ed.poore: the bit where the 90 was in the ditch was sheet ice,4 got up 1 didn't!

If you've watched the second vid I posted you'll see I was stuck on what is normally just a water splash about a foot deep. When I came to it it was totally covered in ice,as I got half way along it I went through and dropped down 8" so the ice was stopping me going forward or back. We had to break the 7" thick ice with spades and a lump hammer to get through, after that we dicided to call it a day

man it was hard going.......... but lots of fun!
