Freelander 1 strange headlamps behaviour

Hi this is unseen by me.
If I set the headlight to level 1 they go up and down in a very funny way.
If I set it to 1... they are stable.

Is it the switch or is there any calibration for the motors?

correction is if I set to level 0 it behaves oddly

I have had this. Happy New Year !!
Mine was a dirty copper track on the headlight leveling switch. Spray with contact cleaner and work it a few times, job done.
