Help needed/info sought

My beloved George was taken off my drive Sunday night/Monday morning. Nantwich Cheshire.

George is a Green Defender 90 Td5 Station Wagon. YB53ZCL He has two distinctive green pawprints on the rear windows and a black powder coated Guardsman dog cage inside.

There were no signs of forced entry, no glass or scrapes on the driveway. Police seem to think he was either towed or pushed out.

My husband discovered a Defender shaped gap on our drive when he left for work on Monday morning.

Incident is being dealt with by Nantwich police, crime number 10808042013

If you spot George please contact PC Ansell at Nantwich police on 0845 458 6378

Fingers crossed that George makes it home soon.

Thanks Paula x

Sorry....was just keen to get the message out. I'm afraid George only had the standard factory fitted alarm. I think I have learnt my lesson.......

Looking at putting lockable bollards at the end of my drive and some type of steering lock......horse, stable, bolted springs to mind!:(

Kinda late closing the door when the horse has run away.

That is good for night parking, but what about car parks. You need a disc lock and a pedal lock box ( clutch, brake, throttle). Uk is car theft captial of the worl and victim #1 is a defender

Thanks, I'll look into a disc lock......if/when I get George back! Or I buy another Defender...

Think to be realistic R.I.P. George and start looking for a new/different one.

He has either been stripped or burn't

George was a very nice looking fender........... Could of been a custom ordered and in a sea container by know

Yeah, you are right. I know George probably has a new identity by now and heading to Africa as we speak......already started looking at a few websites for a replacement. I had George for 8 happy years....kinda finding it hard to let go.

just incase george is being used to nick heavy plant machinery ( whats going on round here ) ive got me eyes peeled and feelers out over near manchester airport area

i hope he turns up soon preferrably in one piece !! ;)

My dad always said to me once it gone hope not too see it again only needs them to over rev it when cold and then you end up spoiling good memories with a vechicle which then becomes troublesome
