Thought you were 36 foot tall or something...shouldn't need a step
The proper name for them is side step ,one there on the side and two you step up had those rock sliders on my defender here have a look good protection and a step in one.
Of course being a mere simple female i'll also need to hunt out some kind gent ( no good looking on this forum )
Right - just regaining my composure(sp?) after banjomans rediculous post , thankyou very much def300 this is v. helpful . Of course being a mere simple female i'll also need to hunt out some kind gent ( no good looking on this forum ) to fit the buggers ... but at least if i've got them slung in the back , trawling round for a fitter should be fairly easy.
Hey hang on there. I'm a kind gent. Sort of Meet me at Billing, behind the bike shed, and I get you sorted out
you can get them on ebay not cheap mind ,dont get confused with side steps they are for grandads and dont protect, rock sliders look better and protect.Ahh - why didn't you say that..... * sneaks of to pur-chase a LRO mag to try and swot up on all this stuff *
It's one hell of a long way to go from arse end of nowhere to northants just for some side steps though , isn't it.?
I may have to go to the ' local landrover guru' he lives not far from here in a coverted chapel surrounded by the hallowed ground that is ...The Landrover graveyard..
there not hard the hardest part was taking off the siezed bots for the seals. mini air grinder wink. then you undo the bottom bulk head bolts (get new ones the one's they supplied were too small) there are to long tubes that stick out of the side step (rock sliders) locate where your out riggers are,two round holes in your chassis give them a clean first, large rubber mallet hey presto bulk head bolts job done.x
I think i love you...
Right will google rock sliders .. will also try fleabay although i'm never sure about the quality - so much knock-off stuff , it'll get me out of going to the landrover graveyard bloke ... he'll only start dribbling when he see's Betsy in her completely natural state , he'll want to capture her and change her into a strangerover or something hideous , she definitely doesnt carry a donor card..I need to spend some decent wonga on her , Mr mud is threatening to chop her in...for a newer model, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
