Series 2 Steering wheel

Hello,just in case this helps anyone with a restoration job,I just finished refurbing the steering wheel from a series 2a(original wheel) Stripped all's old paint from centre boss and it's cover,also old outer layers of cellulose or whatever material the rim is made of! Prepped for spraying and have used Plastikote black gloss spray from a rattle can.The paint has come out really good with a nice shine and the rim looks just right so if you're doing one I can recommend the paint.time will tell how it stands up to use obviously

I am still using the mole grips on mine.

Have a guess how much a professional refurb on a series steering wheel will cost........about £300!

Blimey and I've done it for nowt,didn't even charge him for paint,never mind somebody will do me a favour one day
